Event FAQs

  • Select your distance above. On each event page, you will find information regarding registration, pricing, packet pick up, parking, spectator support, training and more. Scroll down to download the course map and find full race details. Check back before the event for the latest information or download the Twin Cities In Motion App, presented by Medtronic.

  • Use the online registration confirmation tool to verify your entry to a TCM event.

  • Prices increase as each TCM event approaches, so we recommend registering early, both for the best pricing and a guaranteed spot. Click on the distance you wish to register for, and a "Register" button will appear. Limited refund and transfer options are available. Restrictions apply.

  • Refunds are available within 48 hours of registration. This policy is valid until 5 days before the event. To request a refund, email [email protected] within 48 hours of when you submitted your registration. If accepted, you will be refunded your race entry fee; online transaction fees are non-refundable. TCM does not have a deferral program at this time.

  • You may transfer your Get in Gear race entry before April 21, 2025, to another person or may switch to any distance that is not sold out. After the set date and time determined by TCM, your registration is non-transferable.

Transfers are conducted through your Race Roster account (helpful instructions here). Participant shirt sizing is subject to availability at the time of the switch.

NOTE:  There is no switching into races that are sold out, and TCM does not maintain a waiting list.

  • Yes. One participant may pick up another participant's packet.  Your representative will need to have your full name and race number ready to fill out an authorization form at Packet Pick Up.

  • Strollers are permitted in any 5K (or shorter) distance. Please indicate that you intend to run with a stroller on your registration form. You will sign a special waiver and be given a special "Stroller Bib" at packet pick up.

While we love our four-legged friends, we ask that they cheer you on from the sidelines and you reunite with them after exiting the Finish Controlled Zone. Thank you for your understanding.

  • You may walk or run at any time during the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon.

Get in Gear Medtronic Half Marathon participants must, however, be able to maintain a 13:44-minute-per-mile pace (3 hour finish time) throughout the race due to course limits.

  • The Event Alert System, or EAS, is a color-coded method of quickly communicating to participants the potential for adverse weather conditions that can affect the race event. A series of color codes is used to indicate the increasing severity of adverse conditions as outlined here

At TCM events the EAS flag color will be shared in the pre-race email, a packet pick up, at the Start Line, and on course during the event. Please pay attention, as flag color may change during the event.
