Run for Charity on Marathon Weekend!

Twin Cities In Motion offers non-profit organizations the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness through the Twin Cities In Motion Charity Program during Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend. 

Charity Partners are provided guaranteed entries into the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and Medtronic TC 10 Mile to recruit participants for fundraising efforts. This special access allows organizations to tap into high-demand races, boost fundraising, and attract new donors.

2025 Race Details

  • Registration opens Tuesday, March 4, at 10 A.M. CST! 

    • Please note that during registration you will be queued in chronological order for registration check out. The price you receive at checkout will be based on where you fall in the queue.

    Tier 1 

    • 1st registrant  – 2,000th registrant: $110 ( + processing fees = $119.90) 

    Tier 2 

    • 2,001st registrant – 7,000th registrant: $115 ( + processing fees = $125.35) 

    Tier 3 

    • 7,000th registrant – sellout: $125 ( + processing fees = $136.25) 

    All TCM Members get fixed, preferred pricing at $95.00 (plus processing fees = $103.55). Join now and save

  • Packet pick up will be available at the Health & Fitness Expo at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. The Expo is located on the lower level of the Saint Paul RiverCentre at 175 West Kellogg Blvd St. Paul, MN 55102.

    There is no packet pick up on race day. No exceptions.   

     

    You will need your race number (emailed the week of September 29) and a photo ID to pick up your packet at the Health & Fitness Expo. The Help Desk located in the packet pickup area is staffed by individuals available to help you with registration-related issues. There are also two “Race Number Look Up” tables located near the packet pick up entrance.    ​

  • Medtronic TC 10 Mile participants may place their gear and other items in the clear, plastic race bag provided at packet pick up. Gear check drop-off will be available ONLY at Expo near packet pick up. Items in personal bags will not be accepted. Please be mindful to not overstuff your bag and do not leave valuable items (phone, car keys, etc.) in your gear check bag.

     

    NOTE: Gear check drop-off will NOT be available at the start area on Sunday.

  • The Medtronic TC 10 Mile will have Race Pacers, presented by Medtronic. Charge your run with the right beat and shoot for your goal!

  • Participants in the virtual Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon will be able to submit results  October 1 – December 31, 2025 by using this link.

    Registration Price: $110 ( + taxes & fees = $119.90) 

     

    Gear will be mailed to the shipping address provided at the time of registration by Friday, October 17, 2025.

    Any changes to your address must be sent to [email protected] prior to  Friday, September 5, 2025. Additional charges or delays in shipping may apply for incorrect addresses.

  • Age group awards will be mailed to participants for categories of men, women and non-binary athletes placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their age group. Age groups include 8 & under, 9-13, 14-18, 19-24, and continue in five-year increments until the 80+ age group. Athletes registered under “prefer not to disclose” for gender are not eligible for age group awards.

     

    Complimentary entries to next years event will be awarded to the top 3 overall men, women, and non-binary athletes not in the Invited Professional Field for the marathon and 10 mile. The alternative standard for a comped entry into the marathon or 10 mile is to have run an 85%+ age-graded performance in the last two years (there are only a limited number of these available). The 2024 Medtronic TC 10 Mile was added to the world athletics calendar and granted World Athletics Label Road Race status .

10 Mile Registration FAQs

  • By starting the registration process earlier in the year, charity teams will have more time to recruit and engage fundraising runners and fundraising runners themselves will have more time to secure donations.

  • There are 12,000 spots for participants in the 10 Mile.  

  • While we cannot say for certain how quickly the 10 Mile will fill up, we recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your spot in the race - doing so will also get you a lower price! If registration does fill up, you can run the 10 Mile by signing up for a charity team or by participating in the Loony Challenge.

  • Yes! The 10 Mile will still be part of our TCM Charity Program. Running for charity is a great way to give back to your community and get a spot in the 10 Mile even after registration fills up. You can register to be a Charity Runner at the 2025 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend starting on March 4, 2025. Learn more here.

  • No. Running for a charity team is just one way to run the Medtronic TC 10 Mile.  

  • 1,000 TC 10 Mile spots will be reserved for charity runners. 

  • If there is a cause that you are passionate about, but they are not part of the TCM Charity Program, please contact our Development Coordinator, Ashley Ramacher at [email protected].

  • The Twin Cities In Motion Charity Program has an application process for charities to register as a team on Marathon Weekend! If you are a nonprofit or charity organization looking to form a team, please visit our Charity Program page. 

    • 0-2,000th registrant: $110 

    • 2,001th-7,000th registrant: $115 

    • 7,001th+ registrant: $125 

  • Yes! You can register for the Loony Challenge when Marathon Weekend events open on March 4, 2025.  

  • No, there is not a waiting list. Registration is first-come, first-serve like all of TCM’s events. If general public registration closes there may still be ways to participate via the Charity Program or the TC Loony Challenge.  

  • Yes! Registration for all Marathon Weekend races will open Tuesday, March 4, 2025. 

  • 2025 TCM Silver and Gold level members can guarantee their spot in the 2025 TC 10 mile or TC Half Marathon for More during an exclusive member-only registration window for the events prior to the public launch on March 4, 2025.
