Start Line is now east of Hennepin Ave on S 4th St.
As you run, walk, or stroll, keep your eyes and ears open for some Turkey Day 5K course entertainment and cool local landmarks!
Participants will:

Follow S 4th St to Portland Ave

Turn left on Portland Ave to W River Pkwy (Mississippi River)
-
Turn left to follow the Mississippi River (W River Pkwy) to 4th Ave N
-
Passing by US Post Office and Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis

Turn left on 4th Ave N as you enter the North Loop Area

Turn right onto N 1st St passing by Acme Comedy Club
-
Turn left onto 8th Ave N for a quick jaunt to N 2nd St passing by the Minnesota Star Tribune

Turn right on N 2nd St and take it to 10th Ave N
-
Then a left on 10th Ave N as you trace the edge of the North Loop Area

10th Ave N turns into Oak Lake Ave before reaching 8th Ave N

Turning left on to 8th Ave N you are almost to the home stretch

Turn right on to N 5th St and hit the home stretch
Finish line is just east of 6th Ave N on N 5th St.
After finishing you will pass by the Sidewalk Harp (test your musical skills), Target Field, and Target Field Station Plaza & Amphitheater.
Twin Cities In Motion celebrates all runners and walkers - whatever your pace. The Runtourage exists to provide a supportive and enthusiastic presence for our back of the pack participants. Look for our Runtourage volunteers toward the end of our races and the last 8 miles of the marathon! Learn more here.

All kids 18 and under are welcome to run the Turkey Day 5K for free, and will receive the same amenities as adults. To learn more about the TC Kids Run Free Program click here.
Friends and family are welcome to come to the race, bring a motivational sign, and watch and cheer on participants!
As always, please be respectful of private property and do not enter the race course. Pedestrians are permitted to cross the course at intersections where race officials are present to direct foot traffic.
Gear will be mailed (to the shipping address provided at the time of registration) by Friday, December 12. If you don’t receive it by Monday, December 23, please contact us at [email protected].
Any changes to your address must be sent to [email protected] prior to Friday, November 21. Additional charges or delays in shipping may apply for incorrect addresses.

As this is a fun, community-centered holiday event, there will be no age group awards.
Open Arms of Minnesota is a nonprofit organization that prepares and delivers medically tailored meals, free of charge, to critically ill Minnesotans and their loved ones. At Open Arms we believe that food is medicine and that we always have room for one more at our table. We are a volunteer-driven organization and could not do this important work without the support of our amazing volunteers from throughout the Twin Cities area.
